A few years ago I wanted to find an activity to keep myself engaged while outdoors, something to do while hiking, etc. Hunting held a great deal of appeal, except for the actual killing, cleaning, and eating of some unfortunate critter. I decided on photography originally as a way to hunt game without all the mess.
Since then my hobby has evolved considerably, leading me this way and that, and keeping me happy and broke most of the time. Stalking bugs around the garden on hands and knees, spending cold nights on top of mountains with a tripod, and swimming around in 4c water weren't exactly part of the plan, but I love it all just the same.
After becoming a Dive Instructor, I found work at
Stuart Cove's Fin Photo, in the Bahamas. While there I averaged nearly 100 photo/video dives in a month, including some fantastic times on their shark feed.
Diving recently took me to the Seychelles for a 6 month contract, and launching me in a new direction towards work on yachts. Watch this space...
